Biography

Amudat LAWAL, is a Reader in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Physical Sciences, University of Ilorin with over 20 years of continuous service in teaching, research, administrative experience and community service. She has served in various capacities such as Deputy Director Central Research Laboratories (CRL), Faculty Senate Representative and Assistant Postgraduate Coordinator. Her research interest cover Synthesis and Structural Elucidation of Coordination Compounds. She has supervised several undergraduate projects and sixteen Master dissertations. She has over 40 journal articles and edited conference proceedings. Dr. Lawal is a Fellow of Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN) and Fellow of Institute of Chartered Chemists of Nigeria (ICCON). She is also a member of many Professional bodies such as American Chemical Society (ACS), Chemical Society of Nigeria, Science Association of Nigeria and Women in Chemistry.
