Modinah Adenike O. ABDUL RAHEEM, is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Physical Sciences, University of Ilorin with 21 years of university teaching, research, and administrative experience. She has served as Deputy Director Unilorin Renewable Energy Center (UREC), head of the Board, Unilorin Guest Houses (UGHs), currently serving as the first female & the 19th Head of Department. She is also the current Director, Centre for Open and Distance Learning (CODL), Unilorin. Her areas of research interest cover Physical/Environmental Chemistry-Water and Atmospheric Air Pollution Chemistry, Environmental Effects on plants, Development, Evaluations and Standardisation of Potent Natural Phytotherapy from African Folklores, DFT and Docking studies. She has to her credit over fifty publications in reputable outlets covering journals, edited conference proceedings and chapters in books. She has successfully supervised over 30 graduate theses. Professor Abdul Raheem has won a number of research grants and she is a member of many professional bodies within and outside Nigeria.
