Biography

Stephen Olubunmi OGUNTOYE, is a Professor of Organic Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Physical Sciences, University of Ilorin with more than 2 decades of university teaching, research and administrative experience.He has served as the Departmental Postgraduate Programme Coordinator, Deputy Director, School of Preliminary Studies and he is the current Head of Department. His current research is on Isolations, Synthesis, Characterization, Biological Activity Studies and General Applications of Natural and Synthetic Compounds.He has successfully supervised 4 Ph.D, theses (As Sole and Co-supervisors).  He is currently supervising 4 Ph.Ds. He was appointed a full Professor in 2019. Professor Oguntoye is a member of national and international professional associations, he is the current Chairman of Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN), Kwara Chapter.
