Olubunmi Stephen OGUNTOYE is a Professor of Organic Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Physical Sciences, University of Ilorin, with more than two decades of university teaching, research and administrative experience. He has served as the Departmental Postgraduate Programme Coordinator, Deputy Director of the School of Preliminary Studies, and is formerly the Head of Department. His current research involves Isolation, Synthesis, Characterization, Biological Activity Studies and General Applications of Natural and Synthetic Compounds. He has successfully supervised 4 Ph.D. theses (As Sole and Co-supervisors).  He is currently supervising 4 Ph.Ds. He was appointed a full Professor in 2019. Professor Oguntoye is a member of national and international professional associations. He is the current Chair of the Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN), Kwara Chapter.
