Samson Owatunji Owalude is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Physical Sciences, University of Ilorin. He has about two decades of university teaching, research and administrative experience.
His research is currently focused on synthesis and characterization of novel metal-organic framework materials for application as catalysts for sustainable biodiesel production and environmental remediation.
He has supervised and graduated several postgraduate (16 M.Sc. and 4 Ph.D.) students through supervision and co-supervision roles. He currently supervises 1 M.Sc. and 3 Ph.D. students. He has published over 40 scholarly articles which has received over 780 and 261 citations with Google Scholar (h-index of 15) and Scopus (h-index of 9) respectively.
Prof. Owalude is a recipient of several research grants and fellowships.
