Biography

Adedibu Clement TELLA is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Physical Sciences, University of Ilorin with over two decades of university teaching, research and administrative experience. He has served as the Head of Department and member of several committees. His research interests cover Inorganic/ Materials Chemistry, Solvent free Synthesis, Metal-organic frameworks and Crystallography.  He has more than 83 publications in international journal. He successfully supervised Seven Ph.D. students as Major Supervisor. Prof. Tella worked with pharmaceutical industries for 13 years before joining the University of Ilorin as Assistant Lecturer in 2002. He is a Principal Investigator of a TETFund National Research Fund (NRF) project working on “Development of a Hand-held Device using Functionalized Metal organic frameworks for Application in the Selective Detection of Nitro Aromatic Explosives”. He is a member of Institute of Public Analysts of Nigeria, Chemical Society of Nigeria, Royal Society of Chemistry, UK.
