Lamidi Ajao USMAN, is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Physical Sciences, University of Ilorin with more than 2 decades of university teaching, research, and administrative experience. He has served as departmental Post Graduate Coordinator Head of Department and currently the Director University of Ilorin JUPEB Foundation School. His areas of research interest cover Isolation, Characterization and Evaluation of Insecticidal and Therapeutic Potentials of Essential Oils from Plants Growing in Nigeria. He has to his credit about 100 publications in reputable outlets covering journals and edited conference proceedings. He has successfully supervised several undergraduate projects, six PhD theses and more than 20 Masters dissertations. Prof. Usman is a member of the Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN), Nigerian Society of Experimental Biology (NISEB), American Chemical Society (ACS), Science Teacher’s Association of Nigeria (STAN).
